Google PR or Page Rank has been the topic of the day whenever you go to any SEO gathering or ask anyone about the important characteristics to look into a website. However, Google has tried numerous times to tell the web masters not to put too much emphasis on page rank.

I can hear many voices from different corners saying that page rank is the ultimate goal. But no my friend, page rank is a symbolic representation of how good your website really is. It is nothing more than that. It tells you where your site stands in a point of time, but does not let you know what to do next to improve your website rankings. In SEO world, we cannot count on things that just point to some other things but don’t tell what to do. Google’s official web master blog, an entry was updated in which they pointed out some important things to take notice of.

Let us have a look at what SEO guide says about these things whether they really are and how you can best use them for the greater benefit of your blog or website while keeping Google page rank at side and defining new goals.

Conversion rate

Conversion rate is a pre-set goal of the web master to compel a user to take a certain type of action. This may include purchasing something, completing a survey, or doing anything else that the web master wants the user to do. You should be able to know how much users have taken the action that you wanted them to take, because at the end of the day, conversion rates matter a lot. You need to take corrective actions if you struggle to make the website visitors do what you want them to.

Bounce rate

Bounce rate means how many percent of the users visiting your site only viewed just one page and didn’t go beyond that. If you have you have an increase in the bounce rate that means you need to see what is wrong with your website’s content in order to lower the bounce rate and increase your site’s ranking. Bounce rate is one of the most favorite indicators of leading SEOs and is like a snapshot of like or dislike of a website. The graph of bounce rate is a story worth thousands of words.

Click Through Ratios

If you have ever used the Google Webmasters Tool, you must have known that in the dashboard, you can see the queries for which your blog or site showed up the most in a search. However, we mostly see the queries but really don’t look at the conversions. If you click at the CTR or click through ratio, you will come to know, which searches really materialized or brought most traffic to your website. This way you can easily gauge those keywords which can help improve traffic on your website. Click through ratios may have a different meaning for the e-commerce websites, but again they play a crucial role in any website’s ranking.

After the launch of Google Panda Algorithm updates, it is for sure to keep a website equipped with quality articles and content to be safe from the vicious penalty of Google Panda. As I read through many various resources about Google Panda, found much amazing discussions and key points that really caught my breath and made me to revise my SEO strategies.

Articles posting and publishing was a piece of cake before the launch of Google Panda but it is said, “Not every day is a Sunday”, so its tough to do SEO of the articles, defining the new ways of website SEO , containing content for visitors. Let’s look at the key factors one by one that made all SEO specialists and experts, even me astonished:

The article or content must deliver trust and reliability to the reader by creating interest from the use of vocabulary.

The information must contain some valuable meaning and should deliver significant worth of reading to the reader.

The information shouldn’t be overlapping or duplicate with any other content available online or within the website itself. (ONLY unique Content can Change your Life)

Your content must contain call to action words from which the reader starts to surf your other pages and can even recommend your post to his social network.

The article or content “if” contain links to other pages, then, they should be relevant and NOT broken.

The information should be spell checked before posting and no eye teasing words should be used.

Complete, comprehensive and detailed information is what Google Panda will like the most and crawl frequently.

The information should contain complete ins and outs of the topic being discussed.

The information being delivered is to be authoritative in order to provide the reader with the actual facts and figures.

The content should have some sharing and referring buttons at the bottom for the readers to bookmark or to share on their social network websites.

Understanding the Google next step in updating the algorithm is even I am not that much expert to tell, but keeping a safer side regarding articles creation and building links from the content is a wise decision and good SEO strategy. As it is said “Content is King”, well the ”SEO is the Queen” and if the content not up to the mark and interesting for the readers, then the SEO may lead to failure as well.

Reading various SEO tips even made me think wise and implement link building strategies through content wisely to be on the safe side. Always keep 3 things in mind regarding generating SEO based web content, quality, interesting and uniqueness, and regarding SEO, prioritize SEO techniques according to the changing trends to achieve success in major search engines.

This has been a big issue with so many webmasters; they always demand to get links from EDU or GOV websites. I have seen so many clients arguing over that try to build links from those websites which are from gov or edu. I have lost one job for that reason as well, client was asking for links from gov and edu websites I have told him that it does not matter whether the links are from edu or gov; however, he thought I am not good in SEO and he just finished the project. The thing which matters when you are placing a link is website worth and page rank only. Google treats all the links the same way, whether they are from gov edu twitter or facebook. The thing which matter is repute of the website, you might have seen few results when checking backlinks for a website they showed on first page. I have some back links from reputable websites like v7n forums and blog catalog; they are shown on Google first page when you do a back link check. Now there is one thing that it might be useful to build on gov edu websites because their page rank is usually high. There is another issue which has been resolved now that creating links from wordpress, squidoo and other web 2.0 properties carries more weight. The only thing, which is going to be considered, is page rank of the website, which will help you rank better. Thanks to Matt Cutts latest video which has cleared this thing, now you can show anyone that only reputes of the website matters in good rankings in search results. There are so many people thinking about getting links from twitter and facebook, the big issue with facebook is that most of the groups and profiles are hidden and Google cannot grab the information from them. You won’t get any back link from them, Google do index links from facebook which are placed on those pages or groups which allows search engines and which are public. Now you don’t need to worry about getting links from authority sites, if you plan a good SEO campaign to get back links from high page rank and old websites, it will help you rank high in search engines rather than specific links.

Recently Google has implemented the policy that they will show the search results based on your previous search history. The page you have visited in past will show up on first page. In terms of SEO this thing is little disturbing, because it is not going to show you the exact results. Google is just showing personalized search results that’s what they call it. Now how to deal to deal with Google personalized search results, mostly people don’t know because now Google has turned it on by default. You can make this feature off simply to view the accurate results of your keywords in Google.

Now you can see when you search for some specific keyword in Google, it shows different results and at the top right there is an option Web History. Click on that option underlined by red mark. Currently the personalized results are turned on and Google is showing the results based on your previous search history.

Now you can see there is an option Disable customization based on search activity. Click on it to turn off the personalized search results. Go back to Google and search again, you will see now there are different results. You can also turn it off without logging into your account. If you still did not show actual results, try to clear your cache and cookies. This will help in getting the exact results and rankings in search engines. Google stores a cookie in your browser to get these customized results; you can disable this option to get SEO advantage. If you haven’t turned this option off, then your SEO campaign might not be accurate. Keep this SEO tip to get better search results and view the exact rankings.

This is the most common question from new blog and website owners, it takes up to 2 days to several months getting index into search engines. Usually most of the search engines spider your website daily or after few days. I have seen few of blogs which are not been indexed by search engines yet even after 2 months. But my other blog got indexed after 5 days and it came on top with the keyword. The best way to get indexed fast is how you use the keywords on your website, if you are using the keywords with 4% of your total content then it is considered as good density. Too much keywords can harm your ranking and you might get plenty from Google or other search engines it is also called keyword stuffing.

Try These to Get Index Fast

1. I have seen few tricks that helps in getting index fast in search engines, you can use Alexa.com and check your site info. It will provide the information and your website will also get back link, information checked on alexa usually get indexed fast.

2. You can check your website worth on websiteoutlook.com it also provide instant back link and you will be getting index faster.

3. Use some good repute forums and put the signature in those forums like digital point forums or v7n forums. It will help your website getting index in search engines.

4. You can do article submission on Ezine, as google loves ezine, you can use author resource to link you website or blog.

5. Use the social bookmarking website Digg, post your website there and you will get indexed.

Try these tips to get index faster in search engines, otherwise be patient your website will get indexed soon.
